Criminal Law Application and Research Center

Istanbul Kültür University (İKÜ) Criminal Law Application and Research Center (CEHAMER) was established on September 18, 2008 with the Regulation No. 27001 to contribute to the solution of problems related to Criminal Law Sciences with an interdisciplinary approach in the fields of national and international law with scientific methods, to help Turkey collaborate with foreign countries, especially European Union countries, in the field of Criminal Law Sciences, and to carry out studies in terms of education and application in this field.

Some of the aims of the Center are to organize and participate in national and international seminars, conferences, colloquia and similar activities regarding criminal law and related fields, to make publications in Turkish and foreign languages on subjects related to criminal law and contribute to such studies, to establish and develop relationships with other national and international institutions and organizations in the field of science and applications, to establish the necessary archives and facilities related to the field, to monitor national and international publications and acquire them for the Center, tto establish temporary or permanent commissions when necessary to carry out or generate researches, investigations, projects and similar activities,  to benefit from and cooperate with national and international experts, to open regular, scientific and professional specialization courses, seminars or participate in those organized by related organizations in order to train the personnel of relevant organizations and institutions operating in this field.

The first issue of the Fasikül Magazine, our Center’s official publication, was published in December 2009 as a special 2009 edition with the collaboration of Seçkin Yayıncılık A.Ş., the most distinguished publishing house of Turkey in the field of law and was published monthly as of January 2010.
